Just Hangin’ in the Concrete Jungle – An Appreciation Post

Ahhh, there is no other city in the world that can make me as happy then New York City! Something about this particular city that makes me feel SO alive and makes me feel like I’m a part of something. Even though I’m sure the city can get lonely, you’re in one of the most iconic cities in the world-that says something. If a city can make you feel like that, then I don’t know what else there is. One day I do hope I can live in the city while I’m young and thriving. But for now I’ll be day dreaming. Over the summer I went to New York for my birthday to see a few of my best friends. I always think back to myself how grateful I am to have such close friends. It’s harder to make friends as you get older, but those who stay around are the truest ones. As we get older I think we start to understand the real meaning of quality versus quantity when it comes to keeping friends and letting some go. I wanted to blog about just being self aware of the things you enjoy and to celebrate the small things. Make the small things a big impact and turn it into something more because I promise you, it can make a huge difference in the way you see things.

I didn’t take that many photos during my stay because I wanted to try something- living in the moment. But I visited my best friends, Carly Dugan @carly_dugan and Nam Vo @nam_voooo. Along with my boyfriend, Matthew Link @link.matt. Give them a follow!
